Peace Corps and the Global Fight Against HIV/AIDS

29 Nov 2018
6:00pm - 8:00pm EST

Join the CDC Peace Corps Work Group (PCWG) in commemorating World AIDS Day and all of the work Peace Corps Volunteers have contributed to the fight against HIV/AIDS. Through a series of TED talks and Ignite talks, CDC RPCVs will share their experiences of working in HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention during their time in Peace Corps and since returning from service. From HIV/AIDS education at the community level to implementing national prevention programs, the Peace Corps and CDC have been at the forefront of the global fight against HIV/AIDS. Experts in the HIV/AIDS sector, the speakers will be available for Q&A afterwards.

Join us in getting to know the CDC PCWG Executive Committee as Becky Bunnell (PCWG Chair, RPCV Honduras) will give introductory remarks and Rachel Murray (PCWG Vice Chair, RPCV Sierra Leone) will serve as MC. We look forward to seeing you there!
